To stop synchronisation
During synchronisation, press MENU, then touch Cancel sync to stop synchronisation.
9.6 Resetting the Phone
Resetting the phone deletes all data, including downloaded applications, and resets the phone back
to its initial state—the state before you turned on the phone for the first time.
Important Make sure to back up importan t data you have on the phone before you perform a factory
data reset.
Note For Android Market applications that you purchased, you can download and install them again
on the phone. Refer to “Purchasing an application” on page 93 for more details.
To reset the phone
1Press HOME, then press MENU, and then touch Settings.
2Scroll down the screen, then touch SD card & phone storage.
3Navigate to the Internal phone storage section, then touch Factory data reset.
4On the Factory data reset screen, touch Reset phone. If prompted, enter your screen unlock
pattern, then touch Erase everything.
Tip If your phone hangs or freezes, remove the battery , then wait for a few seconds, and then re-install
it. After re-installing the battery, turn on the phone.
Indicates that there is a
problem with data
synchronisation. Check your
data connection and try
again.
Touch to include or exclude
the application from
automatic synchronisation.
The arrows move clockwise
when data is being
synchronised.
