4. Basic Operation

**

**

This chapter describes functions such as switching channel, volume control, and basic features for watching programmes.

4.1 Switching Channel

You can switch the current channel using one of the following methods.

1.Press the CH-/CH+ button.

2.Enter your desired channel numeric using the NUMERICAL (0-9) buttons to move to the channel directly.

3.Press the TV/RADIO button to switch between TV channel and Radio channel.

Note: You can switch channel using Programme Guide or Channel List. Please refer to Chapter 5 and 6 for more information.

4.2Volume Control

1.Press the V-/V+ buttons to adjust the audio volume of your TV/DTV.

2.Press the MUTE button to stop the sound of your TV/DTV temporarily.

Note: You can adjust the Volume Control in the TV when you are setting TV code. Refer to chapter 12 to set the TV.

4.3 Motion Still

Press the FREEZE button at remote control to pause the current programme. Press the

FREEZE button again to continue the programme.

4.4 Teletext

When the channel supports teletext, the Teletext icon ( ) is displayed on the I-plate.

It’s possible to adjust in the channel supported teletext mode. Press the TEXT button to change to the teletext mode.

1.Press the MENU button to display teletext menu.

2.Select your desired teletext fuction using the button.

3.Press the OK button.
