Homologation -- Telecom environmental testing (Safety and EMC): Homologation approval for specific countries has been initiated with the IBM Homologation and Type Approval (HT&A) organization in LaGaude, France. This Power Systems model and applicable features meet the environmental testing requirements of the country telecom and have been designed and tested in compliance with the Full Quality Assurance Approval (FQAA) process as delivered by the British Approval Board for Telecom (BABT), the U.K. Telecom regulatory authority.

General requirements: The product is in compliance with IBM Corporate Bulletin C-B 0-2594-000 Statement of Conformity of IBM Product to External Standard (Suppliers Declaration).

Hardware requirements

Power 755 minimum system configuration: The Power 755 has four processor slots, each of which must contain an 8-core 3.3 GHz POWER7 processor card.

The system can contain up to 256 GB of system memory (64 GB maximum per processor card), eight HDD or SDD DASD, five PCI adapters, and a mandatory DVD-RAM, as desired. This flexibility is made available through the many optional features for the Power 755.

Each Power 755 order must include a minimum of the following items:
