The housing’s port accepts optional 67mm threaded waterproof Wide-Angle lenses
such as the Ikelite #6420 W-20, Epoque DCL-20 and Inon UWL-100 Type 2 and Sea&Sea
(58070). These waterproof lenses secure to the outside of the lens port.
Should you elect to use the optional Ikelite #6420 W-20, Epoque, Inon or Sea&Sea
lens, carefully thread the waterproof lens on the front of the lens port. The lens threads
are very fine; DDOO NNOOTTcross thread. It should screw on very easily. If it is difficult to
turn, you are cross threading.

Remove the l ens cap and cord from the camera.
Otherwise, they may interfe re
with the hous ing seal.
The camera's auto focus feature is utilized un derwater. For best result s, move
in close to your subject and use the wide an gle range t o shoot th ru as littl e water as
possible. The f ull zoom r ange is acc essible unde rwater.
Turn the cam era’s built-i n flash OFF .

Initially set the white balance to Auto. Use th e Joy stic k controls on the hous ing
to change whi te balance.

to Indoor for 0-15 foot depth. For 15-80 foot dept h, set white balance to Outdoor.

The camera mo unts to the tray, which extends fr om the back plate
of the housin g. DDOO NNOOTTremove th e tray from the back plate.
Position the camera again st the two
stabilizing pi ns on the tray and s ecure with
the camera mo unting bolt. The camera
should fit ea sily on the tray and should
be parallel w ith the sid es of the tray.
Make certain that the le ns shade h as been
threaded compl etely into the camera to avoid
any potential clearance o r sealing p roblems when
the camera is installed and the ho using is se aled.

Check that the o’ring is clean and properly positioned on the lip of the clear
housing back plate. Check that the lens shade is c ompletely th readed into the camera.
Once the came ra is mount ed to the tray as sh own above, p ull the hou sing
controls out to provide clearance fo r installing the camera . Make sure the lens s hade
on the front of the ca mera fits i nto the por t recess i n the front of the ho using.
DDOO NNOOTTforce this insta llation; the camera and tray shoul d slide eas ily into pl ace
so the housin gs back pla te o’ring is resting against the main housin g body. In this
position the lid snaps c an be posi tioned over the lid ho oks on the housing ba ck plate
and snapped i nto position to seal the housing.

Slide the hou sing control s back in place makin g sure they properly a lign with t he
camera functio ns.
Operate each control to see how it works with the camera . Some contr ols such
as start/stop will be us ed frequentl y. Other con trols may s eldom be ut ilized. Refer to
your camera o wner's manua l for the proper func tion of eac h camera co ntrol. Look
thru the back to be su re that you can see into the vi ewfinder.
When using the housing controls, especially the start/stop, do NOT use excessive force
because you could damage the camera.

CCAAUUTTIIOONN

Remove the len s cap and cord from t he camera. O therwise, the cord may
interfere with the housing seal.
If the housing controls a re not prop erly positio ned, they cou ld interfere with the housing sea l.

Manual focus may be pref erred in l ow light le vels or whe n the subje ct possesses
little contras t. Set the focus switch to Manual to cancel the auto f ocus. If you want
to manually a djust the f ocus, rotate the manual focus contr ol as desir ed. To react i-
vate the auto focus, set the focus switch to Auto.
