Using your CD boombox
Turning on your CD boombox
To turn on your CD boombox:
1Make sure that the AC power cord is connected to a power outlet or batteries are installed.
2Lift the CD door at the edge marked OPEN/CLOSE.
3Remove the paper card protector.
4Slide the FUNCTION switch to CD or RADIO.
Playing the radio
To play the radio:
1Slide the FUNCTION switch to RADIO.
2Slide the BAND switch to select the radio band. You can select:
•AM
•FM
•FM Stereo
If you select FM Stereo and tune to a stereo FM station, the FM Stereo indicator lights.
3Rotate the TUNING control to select a station.
4Rotate the VOLUME control to adjust the volume.
Improving reception
If you are listening to an FM station and the reception is poor, make sure that the FM antenna is fully extended and rotate the antenna until reception improves. If your are close the radio transmitter, you may need to adjust the length of the antenna.
If you are listening to an AM station and reception is not clear, rotate your CD boombox slightly until reception improves.
