Connecting a TV using a component video cable (better)

Notes

The following task shows connecting the audio to a receiver. If you want to use the TV speakers instead of a receiver, connect the audio cable to the TV’s audio in jacks on the TV.

Using an digital audio receiverTo connect a component-capable TV to a digital audio receiver:

1Connect a component video cable to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the back of your player and to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN jacks on the TV.

Using an analog audio receiverTo connect a component-capable TV to an analog audio receiver:

1Connect a component video cable to the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the back of your player and to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN jacks on the TV.

Connect the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jack

2Connect a digital optical cable to the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jack on the back of your TV and to the OPTICAL DIGITAL IN jack on the receiver.

Or

Connect a digital coaxial cable to the COAXIAL DIGITAL OUT jack on the back of your TV and to the COAXIAL DIGITAL IN jack on the receiver.

3Connect a second optical or digital cable to the DIGITAL OUT jack on the receiver and to the DIGITAL IN jack on the TV.

2Connect an audio cable to the AUDIO OUT L/R jacks on the back of your player and to the AUDIO IN L/R jacks on the receiver.

3Connect a second audio cable to the AUDIO OUT L/R jacks on the recevier and to the AUDIO IN L/R jacks on the TV.
