To create a playlist for a DVD or VCD:

1Press the PROGRAM button to enter program mode.

2Press the number buttons for the chapter you want. To enter a single-digit chapter number, press 0 then the chapter number.

•To add another chapter, press the number buttons.

•To delete a chapter from the playlist, highlight the chapter, then press the CANCEL button.

•To replace a chapter on the playlist, highlight the chapter, then press the number buttons for the chapter you want to use as a replacement.

3Highlight START, then press the ENTER button. Playback starts.

4To stop playback and cancel the playback list, press the PROGRAM button, highlight STOP, then press the ENTER button. Highlight EXIT, then press the ENTER button.

Setting parental controls

To set parental controls:

1Open the on-screen menu system. For more information, see “Using the DVD on-screen menu system” on page 23.

2Select the Preference menu, then select Parental.

3Select the rating you want to block. A password window opens.

4Enter your password. The default password is 8888.

5If you want to change the rating, repeat Steps 3 and 4.

Changing the password

To set parental password:

1Open the on-screen menu system. For more information, see “Using the DVD on-screen menu system” on page 23.

2Select the Preference menu, then select Password.

3Enter the old password, then enter the new password.

4Enter the new password again to confirm.

Tip

If you forget your password, enter the default password 8888.
