Charging an external device

You can charge an external device with a USB cable when your speaker is
plugged into an AC wall outlet.
To charge your external device, plug a USB cable from the device (such
as a mobile phone, tablet, or wireless headset) into the USB port on the
side of your speaker.

Your speaker must be plugged into an AC wall outlet to
be able to charge an external device.
The maximum output current of the USB port is 1000mA
when the system is idle. The output current is 500mA
when this system is playing music.
Problem Solution
My speaker won’t turn on. Make sure that the battery is charged or your speaker is plugged into an AC wall
outlet.
The built-in battery won’t
charge.
Make sure that the speaker is not exposed to excessive heat (above 140°F [60°C]). Try
charging the battery again when the temperature returns to normal.
No sound. Make sure that the battery is charged and your speaker is turned on.
Make sure that your external device, if connected, is turned on and playing.
Make sure that the volume on your external device is turned up and is not set to mute.
Make sure that the volume is not extremely low.
My external device won’t
play.
Make sure that the battery is charged and your speaker is turned on.
Make sure that the external device is not paused or muted.
Make sure that there are songs on your external device.
