Installing the Software
2.2 Order of Procedures
The order of procedures for installing HMP Release 2.0 is as follows:
1. Make sure all relevant prerequisites described in Section 2.1, “Prerequisites for Software
Installation”, on page 13 are met.
2. Refer to Section 1.1, “Choosing the Appropriate Installation Procedure”, on page 9. Then
install the software using one of the following procedures:
•Section 2.3, “Performing a Full Install of the Software”, on page 20.
•Section 2.4, “Performing an Update Install”, on page 23
•Section 2.5, “Performing a Silent Install”, on page 25
For more information about the features you can install, refer to Section2.1.4, “Determining
Which Features to Install”, on page 17.
2.3 Performing a Full Install of the Software
This section contains the procedure for performing a full install of HMP Release 2.0. If you have an
older version of HMP Release 2.0 on your system, use the procedure in Section2.4, “Performing
an Update Install”, on page 23. If you have an earlier version of HMP on your system (HMP
Release 1.3 or Release 1.1), you must uninstall it before installing HMP Release 2.0 (refer to
Section 2.1.1, “Uninstalling a Previous Release”, on page 14).
Notes: 1. Make sure you’ve satisfied all the prerequisites before installing the software. Prerequisites are
described in Section 2.1, “Prerequisites for Software I nstallation”, on page 13. For more
information about the features you can install, refer to Section2.1.4, “Determining Which
Features to Install”, on page 17.
2. If you had a previous Intel® Dialogic® system release or HMP release installed (and you
uninstalled it), a cleanup utility will run automatically as the install runs. For more information
about this utility, see Section4.8, “Uninstall Cleanup Utility”, on page 44.
3. You may see a Security Alert - Driver Installation message during installation. This is just a
warning message, and HMP will install properly after you click Yes. For more information, refer
to Security Alert - Driver Installation in Section4.2, “Error Messages”, on page 37. If you want
to prevent this message from appearing, refer to Section4.5, “Disabling the Windows Driver
Signing Check”, on page 41.
To install HMP Release 2.0 on your system, perform the following:
1. Exit all other programs you may have running.
