Onboard Peripheral Control Descriptions

Video Controller:

This item displays the enable/disable status of the onboard video

 

controller.

Graphics Memory Select:

Selects the amount of system memory used by the internal graphics

 

device. The choices are 1MB, 4MB, 8MB, 16MB, or 32MB.

Ethernet Controller:

This item controls the enable/disable of the 10/100 Ethernet controller.

 

The default is enabled.

Ethernet Boot ROM:

Controls the embedded Ethernet boot ROM allowing for remote network

 

booting.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet Controller: This item controls the enable/disable of the dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet controller. The default is enabled.

Gigabit Ethernet Boot ROM:

Controls the embedded gigabit Ethernet boot ROM allowing for remote

 

network booting.

Console Redirection Descriptions (Disabled by default)

Remote Access:

This item allows serial console redirection to be enabled. This allows all

 

video output to be redirected through the serial port during the POST and

 

DOS. In addition, input through the serial port will be used through the

 

POST and DOS.

Serial Port:

Specifies the serial port to be used for console redirection.

Serial Port Mode:

Selects the baud rate for console redirection. The possible baud rates

 

are: 9600, 19200, 38400, and 115200.

Flow Control:

This item allows hardware flow control to be used.

Terminal Type:

Selects between ANSI and VT100 terminal types.

VT-UTF8 Combo Key Support: Controls VT-UTF8 combination key support for ANSI and VT100

 

terminals.

Redirection After BIOS Post:

Control if console redirection is to be used after POST.
