ADJUSTING LOWER TILT LOCKING COLLAR (FIGURE 5)

NOTE: This procedure limits the amount of tilt the wheelchair may have. The maximum amount of tilt available is 45°. If adjusting the angle the wheelchair returns to, refer to ADJUSTING UPPER TILT LOCK- ING COLLAR in this procedure of the manual.

1.Loosen the two (2) socket screws that secure the tilt locking collar to the tilt slide.

2.Repeat STEP 1 for opposite side of wheelchair.

place a magnetic protractor (available at any hard-

3.Tilt the wheelchair to the desired angle of tilt.

4.Position the two (2) tilt locking collars against the bearing housing.

NOTE: Before tightening, ensure that the two (2) tilt locking collars are at the same position on the tilt slide.

5. Securely tighten the four (4) socket screws of the tilt locking collars.

REPLACING THE BACK UPHOLSTERY

1.Remove the ten (10) phillips screws (depending on back height) that secure the back upholstery to the back canes.

2.Remove existing back upholstery from back canes.

3.Install new back upholstery onto the back canes.

4.Install the ten (10) phillips screws (de- pending on back height) that secure the back upholstery to the recliner back canes.

1. Remove the six (6) phillips screws that

secure the headrest upholstery to the headrest extensions.

2. Remove the existing headrest upholstery from the headrest extensions.

3. Install the new headrest upholstery onto the headrest extensions.

4. Install the six (6) phillips screws that secure the headrest upholstery to the headrest extensions.
