6. Positionthesuctiontubingappropriatelywiththepatientandstarttherapy.
NOTE:Whenthefluidreachesthesafefulllevelofthecollectionbottle(800cc),the
suctioningwillstopautomatically(floatshutoff).RefertoFIGURE 2.
CAUTION
Turn the power switch Off (O) when the automatic float shut-off is activated.
Further suctioning could cause damage to the vacuum pump.
The collection jar should be emptied after every use. NEVER let the fluid
level exceed the “Safe Full” line. Overflow can damage the aspirator.
7. TurnthepowerswitchOff(O)whentheautomaticfloatshutoffisactivated.
8. Removeandcleanthecollectionbottlewhenthemotorhascompletelystopped
andthevacuumhasdropped.RefertoCleaningtheCollectionBottleandLid.
9. Unplugthesuctionunitwhennotinuse.

1. EnsurethepowerswitchisOff(O),themotorhascompletelystopped,andthe
vacuumhasdropped.
2. DisconnectthesuctionunitfromtheACpowersource.
3. Removetheelbowconnectorandtubingfromthecollectionbottlelid.
4. Removethecollectionbottlelidfromthecollectionbottle.
5. Emptythecontents.
6. Cleanthecollectionbottleandlidaftereachusebyoneofthefollowing
methods:
•Washthecollectionjarandlidintheupperrackofadishwasherwitha
watertemperaturemaximumof150oF(65oC).
