Use Symbol Mode

Your phone provides an alternate way to find and enter symbol characters in a text message. You can view and select from a variety of available symbols.

To activate symbol mode from any text entry screen, press Mand select the Symbol menu option.

To enter a symbol in symbol mode:

Do This			To
1	Press a number		display its symbol options
	key one time		(See page 42.)
			The symbols associated with
			the key you pressed are
			shown at the bottom of the
			display. If necessary, press
			other keypad keys to find the
			symbol you want.
2 Scroll left or right			highlight the symbol you want
	with	or
	S
	or
	Press the
	number key
	multiple times
3	Press		add the highlighted symbol to
	SELECT (+)		the text area at the top of the
			display
