Appendix C
The front panel of the AV-61S902 features ten LED lights located under the television screen. These lights are
used to display information about the operation of your television.

Starting Up

The projection lamp of the AV-61S902 requires time to warm up to its proper operating temperature. This
warm up period should take about one minute. The warm up time remaining will be displayed on the front
panel lights.
When the power is turned on, all ten lights will be lit. As the television warms up, lights will begin to go out
about one every five seconds.

Shutting Down

When the television is shut off, a fan will continue to run for a period of time to cool the projection lamp. It is
important that the fan be allowed to run and the television not unplugged or restarted during this cool down
time. The front panel lights will display the following pattern:
The lights will continue displaying this pattern until the projection lamp has sufficiently cooled. Cool-down time
should be about one minute.

Lamp Usage

The front panel lights can also be used to show how many hours the projection lamp has been in use. It is
important to keep track of the lamp usage hours so you can order a replacement before the life cycle of the
current lamp ends. To check the projection lamp usage time, press and hold the MENU and VOLUME+ buttons
on the remote control. With these buttons held, press the POWER button. The LED lights will begin to flash.
These flashes will display the time the lamp has been used. For example:
This display means the lamp has been used for 1999 hours and 30 minutes (1+9+9+9+3+0).
