Button Functions
BBE high definition audio adds natural, clear, extraordinary sound quality to any program. Use the BBE button
to tur n the BBEhigh definition audio filter ON or OFF.
Press the SOUND button to access the Dolby Sound settings menu. For more information on the Dolby sound
feature and its settings, see page 45.
BBE Sound
The MUTING button instantly turns the volume down completely when you press it.
MUTING
The volume level will instantly go to zero.
• To restore the volume to its previous level, press MUTING again.
Muting
Natural Cinema corrects the problem of blurred edges which may occur when viewing a program originally
shot on film (such as motion pictures) or animation. If you notice blurring at the edges of these programs,
press NATURAL CINEMA and set it to ON. Natural Cinema helps correct conversion errors that occur when film,
which is shot at 24 frames-per-second, is broadcast at the television rate of 30 frames-per-second.
Natural Cinema should not be used when viewing regular television programs or video tapes. When viewing
such programs, set Natural Cinema to OFF.
• Natural Cinema is automatically turned off when you turn the television off or use one of the Multi-Screen
functions.
Press the ASPECT button to access ASPECT ratio settings menu. You can choose one of four display ratios for
your television picture. For more information on the ASPECT ratio feature and its settings, see page 49.
Natural Cinema Aspect
The VIDEO STATUSbutton gives you a choice of three TV picture display settings, including display of your own
setting preferences.
Standard - Resets the picture display to the original factor y settings
Choice - Displays the setting levels you specified on the “SET VIDEO STATUS”menu (page 41)
Theater - Gives a rich, film-like look to video.
Press the VIDEO STATUS button to choose a setting.
