To check the current clock time (changing the display mode)
Press DISP repeatedly. Each time you press the button, the display mode changes as follows.
During tuner operation:
Frequency
Clock
During CD operation:
Elapsed 
Clock playing time
•If the unit is not in use when you press DISP, the power turns on, the clock time is shown for 5 seconds, then the power turns off.
Changing the level indicator mode
When shipped from the factory, the level indicator on the display shows the audio level.
You can change it to show the audio level or volume level. | Level indicator | |

3 Rotate the control dial clockwise or counterclockwise to select the level indicator mode you want to use.
Selecting the dimmer mode
When you turn on the car head lights, the display automatically dims (Auto Dimmer). When shipped from the factory, Auto Dimmer function has been activated.
If you want to cancel this function, follow the procedure below and select “OFF.”
•AUTO: Activates Auto Dimmer
•ON: Always dims the display
•OFF: Cancels Auto Dimmer
1 Press SEL for more than 2 seconds.

2 If “DIMMER” does not appear, press SSM ¢ 
or SSM 4
until it appears.
Current setting appears.
3 Rotate the control dial clockwise or counterclockwise to turn on or off Auto Dimmer.
