Place the XM Mini-Tuner Home Dock near a south-facing window or where “Channel 1” can be heard clearly (see below).

Make sure there is no obstruction between the XM Mini- Tuner Home Dock and the sky.

For listening to XM Satellite Radio, you need the following:

Subscription to XM Satellite Radio*2

*2 The following channels are available without subscrip- tion:

Channel 0: This channel is for checking the XM Sat- ellite Radio ID code.

Channel 1: This is “XM Preview” channel.

How to subscribe

XM Satellite radio is a subscription service. To subscribe to the XM Satellite Radio, visit the XM Satellite Radio’s web site at <http://xmradio.com/activation/>, or you can call 1- 800-XM-RADIO (1-800-967-2346). For subscription, you need to have the XM Satellite radio ID code. To check the ID code, follow the procedure below:

“A.AIMING” briefly appears on the display.

Then the status is indicated in 5 levels (from 0 to 4). Position the XM antenna to get the highest signal strength, either Satellite or Terrestrial. Signal levels of at least 3 should provide reliable reception. The most reliable reception is achieved when signal levels of at least 3 on both Satellite and Terrestrial. Terrestrial coverage is available only in large metropolitan cities.
