OFFON POWER ON/OFF button
Press the POWER ON/OFF button on the unit to turn on and off the unit.
You can also press the STANDBY/ON button on the remote control unit, if the POWER ON/OFF button is set to the ON position.
The STANDBY indicator goes out when the unit is turned on. The unit comes on ready to play the source selected when the unit was last turned off.
Notes:
•The STANDBY/ON button on the remote control unit does not function when the POWER ON/OFF button is set to OFF.
•Remove the batteries when carrying the unit by hand or in the trunk of a car. This prevents the power from being accidentally turned on, thus avoiding wasteful battery consumption.
•If you plug the AC power cord into the AC outlet with the POWER ON/OFF button set to the ON position,
the unit enters standby mode. In this case, press the STANDBY/ON button on the remote control unit, or press the CD/RANDOM, TUNER/BAND or TAPE button on the unit to turn on the unit.
