Specifier Note: The following may be deleted for projects of smaller scope in which full Division 1 project documentation is not provided or required. It is recommended that performance requirements be specified within the project documentation to ensure proper configuration and operation of the system. Contact your JVC Representative for assistance in developing a system performance specification specific to a particular project.

F.Ensure system and all related components are configured to support performance requirements outlined in Division 1, 01.86.33 Electronic Safety and Security Performance Requirements

3.02EXAMINATION

Specifier Note: There are often changes to building interior structures during the course of construction. It is imperative as built mounting locations be assessed to ensure the desired field of view can be achieved. Owners often require very specific views of their facility and physical changes to the structure may prevent ideal mounting locations. Coordinate and/or revise Division 1, Section 01 86 33 Electronic Safety and Security Performance Requirements

A.Verification of Conditions:

1.Ensure wiring cable chase requirements are available

2.Ensure substrate for physical mounting locations meet manufacturer recommendations

B.Examination and Assessment:

3.03FIELD QUALITY ASSURANCE

A.Provide Manufacturer Field Engineering Support for engineering, installation, testing and commissioning assistance as required in Division 1.

3.04 COMMISSIONING

Specifier Note: The following may be deleted for projects of smaller scope in which full Division 1 project documentation is not provided or required. It is recommended that performance requirements be specified within the project documentation to ensure proper configuration and operation of the system. VN-H217U specifications

The JVC VN-H217U is a cutting-edge IP security camera designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern surveillance applications. Known for its high-performance specifications and versatile features, the VN-H217U is a popular choice for both commercial and residential installations.

One of the standout features of the VN-H217U is its impressive image quality. The camera offers a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, delivering crisp and clear video footage essential for identification and monitoring purposes. It utilizes a 1/2.8-inch full HD CMOS sensor that performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions, ensuring that users capture important visuals even in dimly lit environments.

The VN-H217U utilizes advanced H.264 compression technology, which allows for efficient video encoding and minimizes bandwidth usage while maintaining a high-quality image. This is particularly advantageous for organizations with limited bandwidth, as it helps reduce data storage costs without compromising video quality. Additionally, the camera supports multiple streaming formats to cater to the diverse requirements of users and systems.

Another notable characteristic of the VN-H217U is its versatile lens options. The camera features a motorized varifocal lens, providing users the flexibility to adjust the focal length according to their specific surveillance needs. The lens offers a wide field of view, ensuring comprehensive coverage of large areas, making it ideal for monitoring parking lots, retail spaces, and public areas.

For enhanced functionality, the camera is equipped with digital noise reduction (DNR) technology, which minimizes visual noise in the footage, particularly during low-light conditions. Coupled with the camera's wide dynamic range (WDR) feature, users can capture detailed images even in challenging lighting scenarios, such as backlit environments.

In terms of durability, the VN-H217U is built to withstand harsh weather conditions. With its IP66-rated housing, it is dust-tight and protected against heavy rain, making it suitable for outdoor use. This rugged design ensures that the camera continues to operate effectively in various environmental conditions.

The JVC VN-H217U supports power-over-Ethernet (PoE), simplifying installation by allowing both power and data transmission over a single cable. This feature not only reduces installation complexity but also provides flexibility in camera placement.

Overall, the JVC VN-H217U combines advanced technology, versatility, and durability, making it a reliable choice for those seeking a high-quality surveillance solution. Whether for a business or a home, the VN-H217U is designed to deliver exceptional performance and peace of mind.
