IMPORTANT

Before using the remote control for the

following operation;AUDIO 1 Set the remote control mode selector to

AUDIO.

2 Press FM/AM.

The buttons described below are used on pages 39 to 40.
Setting the AM tuner interval spacing

Some countries space AM stations 9 kHz apart, and other countries use 10 kHz spacing.

The initial setting is as follows:

10 kHz (For Central and South America)

9 kHz (Except for Central and South America)

On the center unit ONLY:

7When AM is selected as the source

To select the 10 kHz interval

Press and hold 7, then press 8. “10k STEP” appears on the display window.

To select the 9 kHz interval

Press and hold 7, then press 3. “9k STEP” appears on the display window.

Manual tuning1 Press FM/AM repeatedly to select the band.

Example:

When the system is tuned in to 810 kHz.

2 Press TUNING 9/( repeatedly until you find the frequency you want.

When you hold down the button until the system starts searching for stations and then release it, the system stops searching automatically when a station of sufficient signal strength is tuned in to.

NOTE

When a station of sufficient signal strength is tuned in, the TUNED indicator lights on the display window.

When an FM stereo program is received, the ST indicator lights on the display window.
