Guide to closed grilling
Closed grilling is a fast an d efficient way to cook. Thi s method will work only for cert ain food
items, that are thick e nough to come into contact wit h both grill plates.
As the thickness of me at and other ingredients var y so will some of these cooking time s.
NOTE: It is not recommende d to cook items with thick bones s uch as T-bone steaks because they pr event
the meat contacting the c ooking plates.

Guide to open grilling
Open grilling is a gentle r way of grilling more delicate foods . Open grilling also accommodat es
foods which are not the right s hape to fully come into contac t with the upper grill plate.
Preheat the grill with t he lid closed, then open the gri ll and place the food onto the bott om plate.
Turn food as it cooks with a heat proof p lastic food slice or heat proof pla stic tongs. Do not use
metal utensils.
