This is a narrow stretch stitch designed to eliminate
puckering on knit fabrics and bias seams, while permitting
the seam tobe pressed completely open flat.
Basting Stitch

The basting stitch is used to hold fabric layers together
during fitting. Use a fine needle so as notleave permanent
needle marks on fabrics.
Press pattern 15 onthe visual touch screen. Drop the feed
dogs (see page 6).
Depress thefoot control. The machine will take one stitch
and stop automatically.
Hold the fabric taut and slide it to where you want the next
stitch, then depress the foot control again.
Continue inthis manner sliding the fabric sideways or
forward.
Zipper Sewing

Fit the pin onthe zipper foot into the groove on the foot
holder.
*Tosew the left side of the zipper, attach zipper foot with
the right-hand side of pin.
*Tosew the right side of zipper, attach the zipper foot with
the left-hand side of pin.
