Caring for Your Microwave Oven
To makesure your microwave oven looks good and works well for a long time, you should
maintainit properly. For proper care, please follow these instructions carefully.
For interiorsurfaces: Wash often with warm, sudsy
waterand asponge or
soft cloth.
Use only mild,
nonabrasivesoaps or a
mild detergent.Be sure
to keep the areas clean
where the door and
ovenframe touch
when closed.Wipe well
withclean cloth.
Over time, stains canoccur on the surfaces as the
resultof food particles spattering dudng cooking. This
isnormal.
Forstubborn soil, boil a cup of water in the oven for 2
to 3 minutes. Steam will
softenthe soil.To get dd
of odors insidethe oven,
boila cupof water with
some lemonjuice or
vinegar init.
To use of the metal rack:
Themetal rack givesyou extraspace whencooking
in more than one container at the same time.
1. Placerack securely in the four plasticsupports.
Rackmust not touch metal walls or back of
microwaveoven.
2. Place equal amounts of food both above and
below rack.
To avoid risk of property damage:
1. Do not cook with rack on floor ofthe oven.
2. Usethe metal rack when cooking equalamounts
of food atthe same time.
3. Donot use rackto pop popcorn.
4. Rackmust be on the four plastic supports when
used.
Forexterior surfaces and control panel: Use a soft
clothwith spray glass
cleaner.Apply the spray
glasscleaner to the soft
cloth; donot spray
directlyon the oven.
NOTE: Abrasive
cleansers,steel wool
pads, grittywash
cloths,some paper
towels, etc., can dam-
agethe control panel and the interiorand extedor
ovensurfaces.
To clean turntable andturntable support, wash in
mild, sudsy water;for
Glass turntable heavily soiled areas use
amild cleanser and
scoudngsponge. The

supportare dishwasher
safe.
