To remove the CD:

To remove the CD:

Whilst in the stop mode, press the OPEN/CLOSE button.

Press the CD eject button and remove the CD.

Notes:

λAfter removing the CD, make sure to press the OPEN/CLOSE button and close the CD compartment.

λWhen the unit enters the stand-by mode, the opened CD compartment cover will be closed automatically.

After use:

Press the ON/STANDBY button to enter the power stand-by mode.

Caution:

λDo not stop or move the CD compartment cover manually. It may cause mal- functions to the unit.

λBe careful not to jam your fingers in the CD compartment cover.

λIf the power fails whilst the compartment is open, wait until the power is restored.

λIf a disc is damaged, dirty, or loaded upside down, "NO DISC" or "READ ERR" will appear on the display.

λKeep foreign objects out of the CD compartment.

λSubjecting the unit to shock or vibration may cause mistracking.

λWhen the unit is not being used, be sure to close the CD compartment. If it is left open, the lens may be covered with dust and the unit may not operate properly.

λIf TV or radio interference occurs during CD operation, move the unit away from the TV or radio.

νTo locate the beginning of a track

To move to the beginning of the next track:

Press the After use: button for less than 0.5 seconds during playback.

λYou can skip to any track by pressing the νTo locate the beginning of a track button re-

peatedly until the desired track number appears.

To restart the track being played:

Press the To move to the beginning of the next track: button for less than 0.5 seconds during playback.

λYou can skip to any track by pressing the To restart the track being played: button re-

peatedly until the desired track number appears.

νTo locate the desired portion

For audible fast forward:

Press and hold down the νTo locate the desired portion button during playback.

For audible fast reverse:

Press and hold down the For audible fast forward: button during playback.

Notes:

λNormal playback will resume when the For audible fast reverse: or Manual background button is released.

λWhen the end of the last track is reached during fast forward, "END" will appear on the display and CD operation will be paused. When the beginning of the first track

is reached during fast reverse, playback will start when you release the Manual background button.

λThe Manual background or Manual background button on the remote control allows you to locate the desired por- tion.
