The recording source is switched automatically when a cable is connected to the line input or microphone input terminal. During recording from the built-in microphones or an external microphone, the displayed icon changes according to the microphone mode set on the rear panel of this unit.

If microphone recording is interfered with by wind noise, it can sometimes be reduced by setting the recording equalizer properly (page 29). The wind noise during recording with the built-in microphones may sometimes be reduced by switching the microphone mode

from monaural (Center microphone) to 2MIC stereo mode (L and R microphones).
