5.Insert the speaker into the cutout hole. With a #2 Phillips screw- driver, tighten the four dog clamps until they are seated securely against the ceiling surface. Do not overtighten.

6.For installations using the 70/100V input connection, set the switch on the front panel to the desired tap setting. For applica- tions where16 Ohm impedance is desired, the switch should be set to 16 Ohms. Note: The speaker comes from the factory set at the lowest output setting (highest impedance).

7.The IC-5T and IC-6T feature a ±15 degree swivel tweeter to aim high frequency sound to a desired location. To aim sound directly at the listening area, gently adjust the horn to the desired angle.

8.Using the flat of your hand, insert grille into speaker frame making sure it is securely seated and flush.

Seismic Tab

A seismic tab, located on the back of the speaker, is used as a secondary security point. Some construction codes may require its use. To utilize the seismic tab, run a support wire from a secure point in the ceiling and attach it to the tab. Be sure to consult the construction codes in your area. Klipsch recommends the use of this tab in all installations as a secondary means of support.

IC-5T IC-6T specifications

Klipsch IC-5T and IC-6T are innovative in-ceiling speakers designed to deliver high-quality audio performance while blending seamlessly into any interior environment. Renowned for their exceptional sound reproduction, these models cater to both casual listeners and audiophiles, ensuring a rich auditory experience.

One of the standout features of the IC-5T and IC-6T is their woofers, which include high-quality materials designed to provide deep bass and a well-rounded sound profile. The IC-5T is equipped with a 5.25-inch woofer, while the IC-6T steps it up with a larger 6.5-inch woofer. This increase in size not only enhances the low-frequency response but also helps fill larger spaces with sound, making both speakers suitable for various room dimensions.

Both models utilize Klipsch's proprietary Tractrix Horn technology. This sophisticated design allows for more controlled dispersion of sound, resulting in reduced distortion and improved clarity. The horn-loaded tweeters enhance the high-frequency response, ensuring that dialogue and intricate musical details remain sharp and clear, whether you're watching movies or listening to music.

The installation process of the IC-5T and IC-6T has been made user-friendly. They come with a quick-installation mechanism, including a fully enclosed back box that minimizes vibrations and maximizes sound quality. The speakers feature a paintable grille that allows homeowners to customize the appearance to match their decor effortlessly.

Another defining characteristic is their performance in various environments. Due to their construction, the IC-5T and IC-6T can handle challenging setups, including multi-room audio systems and home theater configurations, without compromising audio quality. Additionally, they are designed to perform efficiently in both residential and commercial spaces, offering versatility for a range of applications.

In summary, Klipsch IC-5T and IC-6T in-ceiling speakers exemplify the perfect fusion of advanced audio technology and modern design. With their robust woofers, innovative horn technology, and versatility in installation, these speakers are an excellent choice for anyone looking to elevate their sound experience while discreetly integrating audio solutions into their living or work environments.
