Tractrix® Horn eliminates acoustic interference from shelf installations

Exclusive Tractrix® Horns have always been the key component of this critically acclaimed series. In the RB-51, this technology has been refined to include improved throat geometry for a more genuine, lifelike sound. Behind the horn lies a 1- inch titanium tweeter with a powerful neodymium motor structure to provide a unique combination of precision, clarity and effortless dynamics.

The RB-51 employs a 5.25-inch woofer for a solid bass foundation. This Cerametallic™ woofer with inverted copper dust cap exhibits a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and superb damping characteristics.

Increased baffle ribbing around the horn mouth dramatically improves acoustics across the sonic range. For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the crossover on the RB-51 features the finest components and Klipsch custom internal wiring.

Available in a black woodgrain vinyl finish, the RB-51 comes with a low-diffraction, magnetically attached grille to further accentuate the elegance of this speaker.

RB-51 specifications

The Klipsch RB-51 is a compact bookshelf speaker that combines superior performance with a stylish design, making it an excellent choice for both home theater setups and casual listening environments. Renowned for its crisp sound quality and dynamic range, the RB-51 is part of Klipsch’s Reference series, which is recognized for its commitment to audio excellence.

One of the primary features of the RB-51 is its 5.25-inch copper-spun woofer. This driver is designed to deliver a rich bass response while maintaining clarity in the midrange frequencies. The use of copper not only makes the woofer visually striking but also contributes to an illusion of deeper bass, ensuring that the listener enjoys a well-rounded audio experience. Complementing the woofer is a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter, which is capable of producing high-frequency sounds with remarkable precision. The tweeter is engineered with Tractrix Horn technology, a proprietary innovation from Klipsch that enhances sound dispersion and efficiency.

In addition to the robust drivers, the RB-51 features a rear-firing port, which helps enhance the low-frequency response and allows for flexible placement within a room. This design advantage ensures that whether placed close to walls or on stands, the speakers perform exceptionally well, providing users with the freedom to arrange their audio setup as desired.

The speaker cabinet is constructed from high-quality MDF with a vinyl veneer, giving it a sleek aesthetic that fits seamlessly into any decor. The aesthetic quality is matched with functionality, evidenced by its low-diffraction design that minimizes unwanted sound reflections.

Klipsch's RB-51 is engineered for optimal performance with high sensitivity ratings, allowing it to produce loud, clear sounds without the need for excessive power. This means that even modest amplifiers can drive the RB-51 efficiently, making it versatile for various audio sources ranging from home theater systems to turntables.

Overall, the Klipsch RB-51 is a remarkable bookshelf speaker that encapsulates cutting-edge technology, excellent sound reproduction, and elegant design. Whether used for music, movies, or gaming, it delivers a captivating audio experience that truly reflects Klipsch's dedication to quality craftsmanship and innovative technology.
