UNPACKING

The easiest way to remove the speaker from its carton is to turn the open side of the box down so that it is resting on a table or the floor, with the flaps spread out and away. Then pull the box straight up and off.Remove any packing material from the speaker, place it back in the carton, and store in case you ever need to ship the loudspeaker.

PLACEMENT

The best locations for Klipsch Wide Dispersion Surround Technologysurround speakers in a typical 5.1-channel system are on or against the walls to the sides of the seating area, anywhere from adjacent to the listening position to about 20 degrees behind.(See Figure 1.)It is also desirable that they be mounted above the ear height of seated listeners (5’-7’ high).Their WDSTdesign allows great flexibility, however, and good results can be achieved with configurations that depart significantly from the ideal. The speakers can even be mounted on the ceiling if necessary using an adjustable bracket (not included) connected to the threaded insert onl y.

Figure 1

If you are assembling a 6.1- or 7.1-channel system, you will need one or two additional surround speakers at the back of the room.As with the left and right surrounds, the opti- mum location is above seated ear level. If you are using just one back surround speaker, it should be centered behind the listening area; if you are using two, they should be spaced a few feet apart. If practical, the regular left and right surrounds should be almost directly out to the sides of the seating area rather than slightly behind.(See Figure 1.)

SURROUND LOUDSPEAKERS specifications

Klipsch Surround Speakers are an innovative line of audio products designed to enhance your home theater experience by delivering exceptional sound performance and clarity. Renowned for their efficiency and dynamic range, Klipsch speakers employ a variety of advanced technologies and features that cater to both audiophiles and casual listeners alike.

One standout characteristic of Klipsch Surround Speakers is their Tractrix Horn technology. This unique design effectively controls the dispersion of sound, allowing for precise and focused audio delivery. The horn-loaded tweeters enable enhanced high-frequency response and greater sensitivity, which results in a more dynamic listening experience. By directing sound to the listener and reducing reflections from walls and other surfaces, Tractrix Horn technology ensures that you receive clear and crisp audio, making dialogue and sound effects more pronounced.

Another notable feature is the use of copper-spun woofers found in many Klipsch surround speaker models. These woofers are engineered to deliver deep bass and natural sound reproduction. The combination of the woofer's cone design and lightweight material minimizes distortion while maximizing efficiency, ensuring that you experience the full range of frequencies in your audio content.

Klipsch Surround Speakers are built with robust materials that contribute to their durability and longevity. The cabinets are crafted using high-quality MDF (medium-density fiberboard), which helps to minimize resonance and provides a solid foundation for the speaker components. Additionally, the speakers often feature vinyl finishes that not only enhance their aesthetic appeal but also protect against everyday wear and tear.

Versatility is another hallmark of Klipsch Surround Speakers. They can be easily integrated into existing home theater systems, whether you’re implementing a 5.1 or a 7.1 channel setup. Klipsch offers a range of models, including wall-mountable options which allow for flexible placement to optimize your audio experience. Many models are also compatible with Dolby Atmos technology, providing an immersive surround sound experience that places you right in the middle of the action.

In conclusion, Klipsch Surround Speakers stand out for their combination of advanced technologies, solid construction, and versatility. From their horn-loaded tweeters to their copper-spun woofers, these speakers are designed to deliver an unrivaled audio experience that can transform your entertainment environment.
