Troubleshooting

If...	Try one or more of the following
You cannot take a	■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
picture	■ Depress the Shutter button all the way (page 8).
	■ Insert new batteries. If using rechargeable batteries,
	charge before inserting (page 2 and page 3).
	■ Wait until the ready light is green before attempting to
	take another picture.
	■ Transfer pictures to the computer (page 32), delete
	pictures from the camera (page 21), switch image storage
	locations (page 15), or insert a card with available
	memory (page 7).
Picture orientation is	■ Set the Orientation Sensor (page 18).
not accurate
Flash does not fire	■ Check flash setting, and change as needed (see page 12).
Battery life is short	■ Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth (page 3) before
	loading batteries in the camera.
	■ Insert new batteries. If using rechargeable batteries,
	charge before inserting (page 2 and page 3).
Picture taken does not	■ For best results (especially in Close-up mode or when
