Improving Battery Performance

Follow these guidelines to extend the life of batteries.

±Replace all four batteries at the same time. Mixing new or fully charged batteries with those that have been in use for some time weakens the new ones.

±Clean the contacts in the battery compartment periodically by rubbing them gently with a clean pencil eraser or a cloth.

±Keep batteries away from heat. For example, do not leave batteries in the trunk of a car in hot weather.

±Store batteries at room temperature and keep them dry.

±Recharge NiCad batteries if they have not been used after six months.
