•At regular intervals remove dust and cassette deposits from the sound heads. Contamination on the sound heads im- pairs sound quality, both when recording and on playback.
•To clean the sound heads you should use a commercial head cleaning cassette.

Troubleshooting
No or poor radio reception
>> Check to see if the MW antenna 3$ is optimally positioned and/or the USW dipole antenna 6) is unwound and opti- mally positioned.
>> When USW stereo reception is poor switch, with the FIND/ ESP/MONO/ST. button t and/or 4^, to mono.
The device is not providing any sound
>> Is the plug of the power cord 3% inserted firmly into the power socket?
>>Have you switched the device on with the ON/OFF switch 3&?
>> Is a plug inserted into the headphones output 1* ? This will switch off the speaker.
Disposal
Do not dispose of the device in your normal do- mestic waste. This device is subject to the European Guidelines 2002/96/EC.
