The various displays have the following meanings:

•The control lamp ￿ blinks fast:

-Checking the inserted batteries.

-Full and non-rechargable batteries are recognised. Remove the inserted batteries from the Rapid Batte- ry Charger.

•The control lamp ￿ does not glow:

-The batteries have not been inserted correctly into the charging slots ￿ .

-The batteries are possibly defect.

-The batteries do not correspond to the type setting of the selector switch ￿ (Ni-MH,Ni-Cd).

•The control lamp ￿ glows continuously:

-The batteries are being charged.

•The control lamp ￿ blinks slowly:

-The batteries are charged and the appliance has switched to "retention charging".
