Switchit on: the kettle should start working again after about 15 minutes.
• The watertastes of plastic:
Generally,this happens when the kettle is new. Discard the water from the first few boilings. If the problem persists,
fill the kettleto maximum and add two teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda. Bring to the boil and discard the water.
Rinse out the kettle.

Returnyour kettle to your KRUPS After-Sales Service Centre, only they are authorised to carry out repairs. See the
guaranteeconditions and list of centres in the booklet supplied with your kettle. The type and serial number are
shown on the bottom of yourkettle. This guarantee covers manufacturing defects and domestic use only. Any
breakageor damage resulting from failure to comply with the instructions for use is not covered by the guarantee.
KRUPS reservesthe right to modify the characteristics or components of its kettles at any time in the interests of
the consumer.
Do not use the kettle.No attempt must be made to dismantle the kettle or its safety devices.
If the supply cordis damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service centre or a similarly
qualified person, in orderto avoid any danger.
Fora child, a burn or scald, even if slight, can sometimes be serious.
As theygrow up, teach your children to beware of hot liquids to be found in the kitchen. Position the kettle and its
supply cordwell to the rear of the work surface, out of the reach of children.
If an accident does occur,run cold water over the scald immediately and call a doctor if necessary.
In orderto avoid any accident: do not carry your child or baby at the same time as drinking or carrying a hot drink.
