Thank you for purchasing a KRUPS kettle. Read the instructions that apply to most of our models carefully and keep them at hand.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
nAlways read the instructions before first use and keep them handy for future reference.
nOnly use the kettle to heat water. Never heat other liquids in the kettle.
nOnly plug the kettle into a grounded power outlet. Check that the voltage on the rating plate of the appliance corresponds to that of your electrical installation.
nKeep the kettle and its power cord away from any source of heat, from any wet or slippery surface and away from sharp angles.
nYour kettle should only be used with its lid locked, with the base and the
nNever immerse the kettle, its base or the power cord and plug in water or any other liquid.
nNever use the appliance in a bathroom or close to a water source.
nNever use the kettle when your hands or feet are wet.
nNever place the kettle or its base on a hot surface such as a hotplate or use it near an open flame.
nPlace the kettle and its power cord well to the back of the work surface.
nAlways unplug the power cord immediately if you observe any anomaly during operation.
nNever pull on the power cord to remove it from the wall outlet.
nNever leave the power cord hanging from a table top or kitchen counter to avoid any danger of it falling to the floor.
nAlways remain vigilant when the appliance is on, and in particular be careful of the steam coming out of the spout which is very hot.
nAlso be careful as the body of stainless steel kettles becomes very hot during operation. Only touch the handle of the kettle.
nNever leave your hand or the power cord on the hot parts of the appliance.
nNever leave the kettle connected to its base during filling, pouring, cleaning or moving.
nAlways use the filter during heating cycles.
nNever touch the filter or the lid when the water is boiling.
nNever open the lid when the water is boiling.
nNever move the kettle when it is in operation.
nProtect the appliance from damp and freezing.
