Shooting Images Using Focus Lock

Focus lock is a useful function when the subject you wish to bring into focus is not in the center of the LCD monitor, or when you wish to compose a picture away from the center. This function can also be used for subjects which are hard to bring into focus.

1Align the focus frame with the subject you wish to bring into focus, then press the shutter release button halfway.

 

Focus has been achieved when you hear the beep and

the standby LED lights.

 

Focus and Exposure are locked (Focus Lock, AE Lock).

2Move the camera while the shutter release button is half-pressed until you have the desired composition then depress the shutter release button fully to take the shot.
