Picture Card Sentences
Place severalpicture cards in one of the extra storagepockets. Have students
draw a picturecard at random from the pocket. Challengestudents to use the
pictureword in a sentence. Have students eitherplace the picture card used in
a sentencein a display pocket or in the appropriateblend pocket. You may
want to usepaper or a writing chart to help students recordtheir sentences and
identifythe picture words used in the sentences.
Silly Stories
Place severalpicture cards in the extra storagepocket. Have one student draw
a picturecard. Have the student use that pictureword in a sentence to start a
silly story.Have the student then place thecard in one of the display pockets.
Next, haveanother student draw a picture cardand continue the silly story by
using thenew picture word in a sentence relatingto the previous picture word
or words.Challenge students to keep their sillystory going!
