ϘϘ When instructing new users, do so thor- oughly and explain the meanings of the warning signs and messages.

ϘϘ Assign individual responsibilities for start- ing, operating and servicing the instru- ment and monitor the observance of these responsibilities.

ϘϘ Do not use the Leica DM500 or DM500 B microscope unless it is in perfect condition.

ϘϘ Inform your Leica representative or Leica Microsystems (Schweiz) AG, Industry Divi- sion, 9435 Heerbrugg, Switzerland, imme- diately of any product defect that could potentially cause injury or harm.
