Your EliteR Series air conditioner includes a sheet which outlines the warranty and its conditions. Keep your warranty along with other important records concerning the purchase and maintenance of your heating and cooling equipment.

You should be aware that failure to maintain your system as out0 lined in this manual will void your equipment warranty.

M A I N T E N A N C E

In order to ensure peak perfor0 mance, your system must be properly maintained. A little ef0 fort on your part will keep your system in top form year after year. Clogged filters and blocked airflow prevent your unit from operating at its most efficient level.

Turn off electrical power to the unit at the disconnect switch before performing any maintenance. The unit may have multiple power supplies.

Many indoor units are equipped with re0usable foam filters. These filters can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse the filter thoroughly and let it dry completely before re0 turning it to the unit or grille.

The filter and all access panels must be in place any time the unit is in operation.

Your system may be equipped with an electronic air cleaner which will provide respiratory relief by removing up to 90 per0 cent of all airborne particles which pass through it. If it is, ask your dealer to instruct you on its maintenance.

check for debris which may have collected around the unit.

D The refrigerant lines should be visually inspected and the coils should be checked for leaks.

D Wiring should be checked for loose connections.

D The amp0draw at the condenser fan motor and indoor blower motor should be checked. Values should be compared with those given on the unit nameplate.

D Indoor unit filters should be cleaned or replaced.
