Note:Turnoffthecomputerandwait3to5minutestoletitcooldownbefor eremovingthecover .
Toreplacetheheat-sink:
Step1.Removeanymedia(disks,CDs,DVDsormemorycards)fromthedrives,shutdowntheoper ating
system,andturnoffthecomputerandallattacheddevices.
Step2.Unplugallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
Step3.Disconnectallcablesattachedtothecomputer.Thisincludespowercords,input/output(I/O)
cables,andanyothercablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer .Referto“Leftandrightview”
and“Rearview”forhelpwithlocatingthevariousconnectors.
Step4.Removethebasecover.Refert o“Removingthebasecover”.
Step5.Removethesystemfan.Referto“Replacingthesystemfan”.
Step6.Removethe9screwsthatsecuretheheat-sinktothemotherboard.
