Maintenance Approach
The diagnostic information in this manual leads you to the correct field replaceable unit (FRU) or part. Use the error code charts, symptom index, and service checks to determine the symptom and repair the failure.
After you complete the repair, perform tests as needed to verify the repair.
Stapler Test
The stapler test must be run after a new staple cartridge has been installed.
1.Be sure Side is selected from the output bin menu so jobs are directed to the finisher, and Staple is set to Staple 1 or Staple 2.
2.Use the tip of a ballpoint pen or similar object to press the test button.
