New Message Alert

There are three ways your phone alerts you to new messages.

1.The phone displays a message on the screen.

2.One of eight ring types is heard, if selected.

3.The message icon ( ) is displayed on the screen. In the case of an urgent message, the icon will flash and Urgent message is displayed.

NOTE If you receive the same message twice, your phone deletes the older one and the new one is stored as a Duplicate.

1. Voice Mail

Allows you to view new voice messages recorded in the voice mail box. Your phone will alert you when you receive a new voice message.

Checking Your Voice Mail Box

1.Press , , .

2.Options from here:

●Press Left Soft Key Clear to delete information, then select Clear Count.

●Press to listen to the message(s).

2. New Message

Allows you to send text messages, EMS messages, pages, and e-mail transmissions. Each message has a destination (Address 1) and information (Message). These are dependent upon the type of message you want to send.

The Basics of Sending a Text Message

1.Press , , .

2.With the highlight on Address 1, press .

3.Enter the recipient's address, then press .

NOTE To send a page, press Left Soft Key Send now.

4.Press to access the message screen.

5.Type your message (text or e-mail), then press .

6.Press Left Soft Key Send.

A confirmation message is displayed.
