The Setup Tab - Mobile Network

On this screen, you can configure mobile network settings and view mobile broadband status information for the Router. Some of these settings will be automatically configured by the Router and, in most cases, should not be changed unless you are instructed to do so.

Mobile Network Connection Mode

Auto Connect. If you select Auto, the Router will automatically connect to the default mobile network when it powers on. The Router will disconnect from the mobile network after there is no traffic for 60 minutes. If you want to change this default, enter the number in the Maximum idle time before auto disconnect field. The Router will automatically reconnect to the mobile network when there is traffic. To manually connect to a mobile network, click Manual. You can use the Data Card button on the Router to connect and disconnect from the mobil network.

APN Configuration

APN Selection Mode. Configure how the Router will selects its Access Point Name (APN) or network. If you want the Router to select a suitable APN based on the current SIM card, select Auto. If you want to override the automatic selection, select Manual. Then select a suitable APN from the Home Network drop-down menu. If you want to specify values that may not be in the standard configuration (such as a corporate APN), select Custom Values. Then complete the APN Name, User Name, Password, DNS Supplied by Network, and DNS 1-2fields as needed.

Home Network. If you selected Manual, select the mobile network that provides your service.

If you selected Custom Values, complete the following:

APN Name. The APN (Access Point Name) Name is automatically entered by the Router. Do not change this setting unless told to do so by either the technical support of your mobile service provider or LInksys, or the IT manager of your company. If you have access to a private APN, you can enter its name here.

User Name. The User Name is automatically entered by the Router. Do not change this setting unless told to do so by either the technical support of your mobile service provider or LInksys, or the IT manager of your company. If you have access to a private APN, you can enter the new User Name here.

Password. The Password is automatically entered by the Router. Do not change this setting unless told to do so by either the technical support of your mobile service provider or LInksys, or the IT manager of your company. If you have access to a private APN, you can enter the new Password here.
