Volume and speaker balance keys
These keys allow you to change the volume, mute the sound, restore the normal settings, and adjust the individual and relative speaker output levels.
The volume and speaker balance keys are as follows:
Key | What it does |
NORM | Restores the source to its normal volume |
| and surround processing settings. |
SELECT | Steps between the different speaker |
| settings for the currently active surround |
| mode. These include balance, rear level, |
| centre, subwoofer, etc. |
MUTE | Mutes the sound. Press MUTE again or one |
| of the VOLUME keys to unmute it. |
VOLUME - and + | Changes the volume, or the currently |
| selected setting. |

Programmable numeric keys
These keys provide additional functions for controlling your audio and video sources. They can be programmed for the other equipment in your system using the LEARN function. These keys can also be used with Linn CD players and FM tuners to enter a track number, preset number, or station frequency.
