2. HDV-Recorder

2.1 What is the HDV-Recorder?

The HDV-Recorder serves as a storage (recorder) and playback device for video material recorder with an HDV camera.

With the aid of the HDV-Recorder, it is possible to display and play HDV footage on smaller and more cost-effective TFT monitors in HDV quality, create backups of HDV material on the removable hard-drive and to copy HDV video (camera -> recorder -> camera).

The footage is fed to the recorder via Firewire/
