Do not block any of the ventilation o penings.
Install in accordance with t he manufacturers instructi ons.
Do not install near any heat sources s uch as radiators, heat
registers, stoves, or oth er apparatus (including amplifier s)
that produce heat.
Do not defeat the safety pur pose of the polarized or
grounding-type plug. A pola rized plug has two blades with
one wider than the other. A grounding ty pe plug has two
blades and third grounding prong. The wi de blade or third
prong are provided for your safety. When the provide d
plug does not fit into your outlet , consult an electrician for
replacement of the obsolet e outlet.
Protect the power cord from being walked o n or pinched
particularly at plugs , convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the appar atus.
Only use attachments /accessories specified by the
manufacturer.
Use only with a cart , stand, tripod, bracket, or t able
specified by the manufact urer, or sold with the appara-
tus. When a cart is used , use caution when moving the
cart/appar atus combination to avoid injury from tip- over.
Unplug this apparatus d uring lightning storms or when un-
used for long periods of time.
Refer all servicing to quali fied service personnel. Serv icing is
required when the apparat us has been damaged in any way,
such as power-supply cord or plug is dam aged, liquid has
been spilled or objects have fa llen into apparatus, the appar a-
tus has been exposed to ra in or moisture, does not operate
normally, or has been dropped.
Damage Requiring Serv ice - The appliance should be
serviced by qualified ser vice personnel when:
A. The power supply cord or the plug h as been damaged;
B. Objects have fallen, o r liquid has been spilled into the
appliance;
C. The appliance has bee n exposed to rain
D. The appliance does not appear t o operate normally or
exhibits a marked change in pe rformance;
E. The appliance has bee n dropped, or the enclosure dam-
aged.
Tilt/Stabi lity - All televisions must co mply with
recommended internation al global safety standards for t ilt
and stability proper ties of its cabinet design.
• Do not compromise these design st andards by applying
excessive pull force to the front, or t op, of the cabinet
which could ultimately over turn the product.
• Also, do not endanger yourself, or c hildren, by placing
electronic equipment /toys on the top of the cabinet. S uch
items could unsuspectin gly fall from the top of the set and
cause product damage and /or personal injury.
Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The appliance s hould be
mounted to a wall or ceiling only a s recommended by the
manufacturer.
Power Lines - An outdoor antenna shou ld be located away
from power lines.
Outdoor Antenna Grounding - I f an outside antenna is
connected to the receiver, be sure the ante nna system is
grounded so as to provide some protect ion against voltage
surges and built up static ch arges.
Section 810 of the National Elec tric Code, ANSI/NFPA
No. 70-1984, provides information wit h respect to proper
grounding of the mast and suppor ting structure, ground-
ing of the lead-in wire to an ant enna discharge unit, size of
grounding connectors, loc ation of antenna-discharge unit ,
connection to grounding ele ctrodes, and requirements for
the grounding electrode. S ee Figure below.
Object and Liquid Entr y - Care should be taken so that
objects do not fall and liquid s are not spilled into the enclo-
sure through openings.
Battery Usage CAUTION - To prevent batt ery leakage
that may result in bodily injur y, property damage, or
