5.Place food in the raclette pans (5) or directly on the hotplate.

6.The raclette pans can be used to fry on the hotplate or placed on the tray (7) under the heating element to grill the food from above. Try different methods.

8.Turn the heat setting button to MIN and disconnect from the mains when finished with the appliance. Do not move the appliance until it is fully cooled.

IMPORTANT! Hotplate and raclette pans have a special non-stick coating. Very little fat or oil is therefore required when frying. Do not use metal implements or other forms of hard materials which could damage the non-stick coating.

Tips

Raclette is originally the name of a semi-firm Swiss cheese, ideal for melting and gratinating. Other cheese types such as Irish Cheddar or Feta are also suitable for raclette cooking.

Try frying meat and vegetables on a raclette pan over the hotplate, finish off with a sprinkling of cheese and grill under the heating element to finish off.

You can also try mixing ingredients with cream or eggs to make a kind of mini omelette.

A raclette grill is also ideal for cooking low-fat foods, such as turkey or prawns – there are lots of possibilities!

Storage

Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storing. Avoid placing hard, sharp objects on the hotplate or raclette pans to prevent damaging the non-stick coating.
