Tips for vacuum cleaning

The small crevice- and brush nozzles (21) can be used with and without brushes, as they can be quickly extended or withdrawn. This nozzle may be stored in the holder (12) at the rear of the appliance when not in use.

You can park the floor nozzle in one of the parking brackets (at the rear (8) and underside of the appliance) when taking a break from vacuuming.

You can lift and carry the appliance using the carrying handle (1). Never pull or lift the appliance by the cord.

REPLACING FILTERS AND DUST BAG

IMPORTANT! If the appliance loses suction power during use, the dust bag may be full. The filters may also need cleaning or replacing. We recommend that the filters are cleaned or replaced after 4-6 months of use or as required. Never use the appliance if the bag is full or with no exhaust- or motor filter.

Replacing the Exhaust Filter

Used to filter exhaust air from the appliance. The appliance must not be used if there is no exhaust filter fitted. The exhaust filter in this appliance is a highly effective particle filter – a so-called HEPA filter.

Remove the exhaust grille (f) by depressing the release button (9) and pulling out the exhaust grille.

Remove the filter pad (e) from the inside of the grille and replace or clean it as described under Cleaning below.

Remove the filter pad (d) from the appliance and replace or clean it as described under Cleaning below.

Replace the filter in the exhaust hole. Replace the filter pad in the exhaust grille and replace the grille.

Replacing Dust Bag

Open the lid by pushing the opening handle (2) and tilting the lid upwards.

Lift out the dust bag holder (a) with the dust bag from the appliance and carefully remove the dust bag from the dust bag holder.

Insert a new bag into the holder by inserting the cardboard front into the guides on the holder and press all the way down.

Replace the dust bag holder in appliance.

NOTE: The appliance as a device to prevent the lid closing if the bag is not fitted or incorrectly fitted.

Replacing the Motor Filter

The motor filter protects the motor against dust and dirt. The appliance must not be used if there is no motor filter fitted.

Open the lid by pushing the opening handle and tilting the lid upwards.

Lift the dust bag holder with the dust bag from the appliance.

Pull out the holder for the motor filter (b) from the guides.

Clean or replace the filter pad (c) if necessary (see section on Cleaning below).

Press the filter pad into position in the holder to the motor filter and position it by inserting the dowel at the top of the rear of the holder into the groove of the appliance and pushing the holder gently downwards.

Replace the dust bag holder.

STORAGE

Before putting the appliance away, rewind the cord. Switch off at the socket, unplug, and press the automatic cord rewind button (5) until the cord is fully rewound.

o Hold the plug firmly while reeling the cord in to avoid it hitting the appliance or other nearby objects.

Store in a dry place. Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance.

You can park the floor nozzle in one of the parking brackets (on the back and underside of the appliance).

NOTE: Remove the batteries from the handle if the appliance is to be stored for an extended period.

CLEANING

Clean the appliance by wiping it with a damp cloth. A little detergent can be added if the appliance is heavily soiled.

Never use a scouring pad, steel wool or any form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as those may damage the outside surfaces of the appliance.

Make sure all filters are kept clean (refer to Replacing filters and dust bag above).

o Shake the exhaust filter and the two filter pads and beat them carefully to remove dust and dirt.

o The exhaust filter and two filter pads can be carefully washed in warm water. o Check they are completely dry before replacing in the appliance. NEVER

insert a wet filter into the appliance.

o Replace the exhaust filter and filter pads with the same type when worn or cannot be cleaned properly.
