• The timer resets each time you press a button. The timer will activate ONLY if the appliance has been on for a long period without any of the buttons being touched.

• The appliance is equipped with safety functions that automatically switch the appliance off in the event of overheating or excess voltage. If it switches off automatically, wait until it has cooled off completely. Switch on again in the normal manner. It should now be possible to use the appliance normally.

CLEANING

When cleaning the appliance, you should pay attention to the following points:

Do not use scouring powder, steel wool or other aggressive cleaning materials, as they can scratch the ceramic plate (3). Use a well-wrung cloth and hot water. A special cleaning liquid is obtainable from white goods dealers if the appliance is heavily soiled.

Rings and lime deposits can be removed with vinegar. Wipe off with a well- wrung cloth and warm water.

Make sure that no water gets into the vent holes on the underside of the appliance.

We recommend a scraper specially for use with ceramic hobs available from most white goods outlets.
