Thisunit has a built-inLithium Polymerrechargeable battery.Whenthe bars
inthe battery indicator(in the display)become low (seeFigure 1) and before
usingthe unit for the first time,recharge the batteryas follows.
1. Connect the USBcable to the USB jack on this unit (as
shown) and to the USB port on your computer; “USB
CONNECTED” and “CHARGING” will appear on the
screen. Oncethe battery is fully charged,“Fully Charged”
willappear.
NOTES:
• Todisconnect this unit from yourcomputer, make sure to
followthe “Safely RemoveHardware” instructionson page 20.
• Youmust charge thisunit for three hours beforeusing for the first time.
• It takesapprox. 3 hours to charge thebattery from empty to full.When fully charged,
theunit can play back for approx.20 hours in MusicPlayback mode. (Actualplay back
timesmay vary.)
• For data transfer, please use the USB cable (included) to connect the unit to
yourcomputer.
• Whenthe battery is empty and connectedto the computer forcharging, it may take a
fewminutes for the “USB CONNECTED”screen to be displayed.
