MS7100 Series Troubleshooting Guide

SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE CAUSE(S) SOLUTION
No LEDs, beep No power is being supplied Check transformer, outlet and power
or motor spin to the scanner strip. Make sure the cable is plugged
in to the scanner
No LEDs, beep No power is being supplied Some host system’s cannot supply
to the scanner from host enough current to power Orbit. Use
the power supply included with the
scanner.
3 beeps on Non-volatile RAM failure Contact a Metrologic Rep, if the unit
power up will not hold the programmed
configuration
Continuous razz RAM or ROM failure Contact a Metrologic Rep, if the unit
tone on power will not function
up
Razz tone and VLD failure Contact a Metrologic Rep
red LED flash at
